Potters Guild member makes clay into works of art

Toledo Potters Guild member Christi Meredith of Toledo makes bases for clay earring holders while spending the afternoon at the wheel at the guild’s shop inside the Toledo Botanical Garden. Ms. Meredith said she discovered pottery when she was 5 years old and saw local artist Mark Nafziger making pots during a school field trip to Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. ‘I stood there all day watching while the rest of the class went everywhere else,’ she said.
