Portman, Strickland spar at Columbus debate

COLUMBUS — Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman and the Democrat who wants his job, former Gov. Ted Strickland, clashed today over their own records and played defense in explaining their current and past support for the candidates their parties have put at the top of their tickets.
