Podiatrist to take seat on Lucas Co. elections board

Secretary of State Jon Husted has appointed Sylvania Township podiatrist Dr. Bruce Saferin to a vacant Republican seat on the Lucas County Board of Elections, while leaving the permanent appointment still in limbo, the secretary of state’s office announced Friday.
