Perry's Monument’s deck closed by lightning

PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — The observation deck atop the monument at Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial was likely to remain closed today, perhaps until later this week, after lightning damaged its elevator’s control system Saturday afternoon.
