Outlook improves for rare white deer herd in N.Y.

ROMULUS, N.Y. — The rare white deer that inhabit the former Seneca Army Depot appear to have a new lease on life, now that the sprawling site has been sold and the new owner has indicated he intends to both protect the deer and enhance their habitat.
