Ohio deer harvest shows increase

Ohio’s archery hunt for white-tailed deer ended on Feb. 7, closing the books on the three hunting sessions that collectively make up “deer season” in the Buckeye State — bow, gun, and muzzleloader hunting. Hunters took 188,335 deer in the 2015-16 seasons, up nearly 8 percent from last year’s total of 175,745 deer.
