OC to acquire mineral wool maker for $1.04B

Toledo building products maker Owens Corning said Monday that it has agreed to spend $1.04 billion to acquire Paroc Group, a leading producer in Europe of mineral wool insulation, known as “stonewool,” which is a fire-resistant material that is used to insulate and help soundproof buildings.
