Not your typical street sweeper
The city of Toledo unveiled a new pink street sweeper Friday during a public service employee appreciation event. The vehicle, which has ‘Sweeping Away Cancer’ emblazoned on it, is meant to promote breast cancer awareness, Toledo Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson said. The vehicle wrap was provided to the city free of charge. The machine cost city taxpayers $190,000 and is now part of the city’s 22-vehicle sweeper fleet.
