Navigating the Maumee

A tugboat pulls the freighter Algoma Discovery up the Maumee River. The Canadian ship was headed Wednesday to load grain at The Andersons, making it the first freighter to load grain in Toledo in 2017. The ship’s arrival was delayed by one day because bridge tenders had not yet returned to several Maumee River drawbridges for the season.
