Music helps dementia patients and others reconnect

Virginia Hieskell leaned back in her wheelchair at ProMedica Goerlich Center on the Flower Hospital campus, closed her eyes, and tapped her feet to Christmas music flowing through earphones on an iPod Shuffle.
