Monroe parks to be expanded under new deal

MONROE — Two major land transfers from the Port of Monroe to the federal government were announced during an hour-long dedication here this morning, one to expand the River Raisin National Battlefield Park by 33 acres and the other to expand the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge by 35 acres.
