Midwest university alliance aims to spur marketable ideas

A $3.5 million federal grant is supporting a new alliance of Midwest universities working to move academic innovations into the commercial realm. University of Michigan says its Engineering Center for Entrepreneurship will lead the Midwest I-Corps Node with money from the National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps program.
