‘Messiah’ with twist at ‘Too Hot to Handel’

Rackham Choir and the Detroit Opera House are presenting the 15th anniversary of “Too Hot to Handel.” The performance features 120 musicians performing a jazz-gospel version of the Handel’s classic Messiah with a decidedly Detroit-inspired twist, interweaving blues, swing, classical and scat.
