Meeting outlines plan to reduce farm runoff

GIBRALTAR ISLAND, Ohio — After a two-hour, thick-in-the-weeds discussion Wednesday in which some of Ohio’s top policy-makers agonized over a new master plan that demands steeper cuts in farm runoff and the possibility of tighter sewage regulations to save Lake Erie, one of the state’s most recognized charter fishing boat captains stood up and blew them away with his own observations from being out on the water almost daily: Lake Erie is, for now, gorgeous.
