Maxine J. "Mickey" Welker (1923-2015): Teacher helped establish alumni groups at BGSU

Maxine J. "Mickey" Welker, a force in organizing alumni of Bowling Green State University through the 1960s and who retired as a Toledo schoolteacher, died Monday in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, South Detroit Avenue. She was 92. She did not regain consciousness after falling Thursday while getting into a car at Swan Creek Retirement Village, her son Jon said.
