Marathon tries to deal with activist

FINDLAY — Marathon Petroleum Corp. has extended the deadline for shareholders to make nominations for the company’s board of directors by nearly a month in what some have termed as time for the Findlay refinery company to talk with an activist shareholder that wants to split up the company.
