Marathon reports ‘outstanding quarter’

FINDLAY — Bolstered by refineries operating at peak efficiency, Marathon Petroleum Corp . on Thursday reported second quarter profits of $1.06 billion, or $2.27 a share, a 118 percent increase from the same quarter a year ago when the Findlay-based oil refiner and marketer had profits of $483 million, or 93 cents a share.
