La-Z-Boy’s 1st quarter profit posts tiny rise

MONROE — Flat sales and weaker demand from wholesalers led La-Z-Boy Inc. to a fiscal first quarter profit of $13.8 million, or 28 cents a share, on Tuesday, up barely 1 percent from the same period a year ago.
