Kasich rejects bond issue to battle algae in Lake Erie

COLUMBUS — Gov. John Kasich said Tuesday he doesn’t think it is necessary to ask voters to borrow money to tackle algae blooms on Lake Erie like the one that briefly choked off Toledo’s drinking water last year.
