Kasich promises help for Ohio counties hit by budget

COLUMBUS — Gov. John Kasich will propose a solution to a potential $500 million-a-year hole in the state’s next two-year budget as the federal government closes a sales tax loophole exploited by Ohio and other states to draw down more federal matching funds for Medicaid.
