Judge David A. Katz (1933-2016) was expert on complex cases

David A. Katz, who as a federal judge for more than 20 years earned the respect of attorneys and colleagues for his even temperament and knowledge of the law, died Tuesday in ProMedica Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was 82.
