Joe D. Becker: 1928-2016

Joe D. Becker, a former science teacher, Metroparks carpenter, and sawmill operator who as a longtime Waterville council member warned against housing growth that outpaced the community’s infrastructure, died July 30 — his 88th birthday — at home in Clemmons, N.C.
