Jet stream shift brought cold our way

That bone-chilling cold you might have experienced this morning has a scientific basis: The jet stream, a powerful air current around the top of the world that’s normally good at holding Arctic air in place, has dipped down enough to let cold air spill out of northern Canada and into the Great Lakes region.
