Japanese beetles are out in full force

I was on a walk in my neighborhood the other day and got smacked in the face with a bug. It lodged in my ponytail on top of my head. I had a flash reaction to scream or run in circles, but I kept my cool and pulled it out of my hair, thinking I would see a yellow jacket. But it was a big orange and green metallic beetle.
