Inbound flight evacuated at Toledo Express Airport

A passenger jet was evacuated on the tarmac at Toledo Express Airport early Friday afternoon when one of its engines began smoking after landing, the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority said. Fifty-two people were evacuated from American Eagle flight 5479, operated by PSA Airlines from Charlotte to Toledo, after it taxied off the airport's primary runway onto a parallel taxiway following its 1:09 p.m. landing, said Holly Kemler, the port authority's spokesman.
