Heading for a fall

Ashley Hobbs of North Toledo gets a few pointers for her first time ice skating from Stephen Bates at the Ottawa Park Ice Rink in West Toledo. Mr. Bates, an employee of the rink, was taking his third-ever turn on the ice. With temperatures finally dipping down below freezing, the rink opened for skating this week. After a bit of a warm-up Thursday and today, the mercury is expected to drop again in the days ahead, with highs reaching only the midteens Monday and Tuesday. For more on the weather,
