HCR ManorCare slips into default, owes $265 million

The landlord of HCR ManorCare on Friday declared that the Toledo-based nursing home operator has slipped officially into default by not paying its monthly rent and now owes the remaining money on its lease — approximately $265 million — and could face being forced into receivership.
