Grant allows Metroparks Toledo to plant an extra 30,000 trees

Imagine working for a park district the size of Toledo’s and getting a call out of the blue in late February with an offer for nearly $300,000 to plant another 30,000 trees in the spring, six times more than the 5,000 trees your employees and local volunteers usually plant that time of year.
