GOP’s Portman wins easily after heated race with Strickland

COLUMBUS — Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman easily won a trip back to the Senate, cruising to beat Democrat and former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland in a quickly decided contest Tuesday.
