Gerken, Bell debate taxes, development of downtown

Pete Gerken and Mike Bell, the two candidates for Lucas County commissioner on the Nov. 8 ballot, differed over the sales tax increase that was enacted last year, as well as a host of other issues where public and private spending intersect, during a joint appearance Monday night.
