First Solar profits increase

TEMPE, Ariz. — First Solar Inc., a solar panel maker whose sole domestic manufacturing is in Perrysburg Township, on Thursday reported a preliminary third quarter profit of $346.2 million, or $3.38 a share, up from $88.4 million, or 87 cents a share, a year ago.
