Firm may up its bid to buy Andersons

The New York holding firm trying to acquire The Andersons Inc. said Thursday it wants to discuss increasing its $1.04 billion buyout offer and threatened to “take any action we deem necessary” to complete the buyout, apparently a reference to pursuing big shareholders directly.
