Explosion claims 10 lives, injures dozens

An explosion ripped through the Maumee Chemical plant at Oak and Front Streets in Toledo killing 10 and injuring 46. The May 10, 1962, blast caused widespread damage and the smoke could be seen as far away as Grand Rapids, Ohio.
