Expert: CAFOs’ effects on water less than thought

GIBRALTAR ISLAND, Ohio — CAFOs, mega-livestock facilities large enough to be classified as concentrated animal-feeding operations, may not impact western Lake Erie water quality as much as some activists think, an expert said Thursday.
