Elyria shuts down Whitmer's state dream

CLYDE, Ohio — Hitless through three innings, perennial state power Elyria scored a two-out run in the fourth inning and went on to a 3-0 victory over Whitmer on Saturday in a Division I regional softball final at Clyde’s Joe Wilson Field.
