Dust-wipe testing rule at center of lead debate

Debate over whether to require dust-wipe tests under Toledo’s lead-safe rental-property law is expected to take center stage today before city council votes on an amendment to the law requiring older rental properties to be inspected and deemed “lead safe” before leasing to tenants.
