Dexter E. Bailey (1941-2016): Immigrant led union local, opened Jamaican restaurant

Dexter E. Bailey, who settled in Toledo from his native Jamaica, became a leader in his union local and the cricket club founded by fellow expatriates, and opened a restaurant to feature the island nation’s cuisine, died Jan. 28 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Township. He was 74.
