Delayed start won’t lessen fall’s firestorm of color

L’ANSE, Michigan — About two weeks ago, the aspens here at the base of Keweenaw Bay in the Upper Peninsula were just starting to yellow, the sugar maples had ruddy tint brushed across their tops, and the beech and basswood trees were lagging a bit in the fall colors parade.
