David S. Glasmire (1924-2016): Trombone teacher played in quintet, symphony

LAKESIDE, Ohio — David S. Glasmire, who taught trombone at Bowling Green State University for more than 35 years and played as a founding member of the Faculty Brass Quintet, with the Toledo Symphony, and for ice shows and singers passing through northwest Ohio, died Wednesday in Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community. He was 92.
