Byron "Barney" Stickles dies at age 85

Byron “Barney” Stickles, a Maumee resident who considered himself the last living railroad telegrapher in the Toledo area and also was involved in animal welfare as president of the Toledo Animal Shelter, died Thursday in the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was 85.
