'Blizzard' Bill Spencer now on 90-day medical leave

On May 30, WTVG-TV, Channel 13, weekday meteorologist “Blizzard” Bill Spencer began a 90-day medical leave from the station after a team of specialists discovered that the top vertebra of his spine collapsed onto his nervous system, causing him almost-daily episodes of losing focus and balance, stuttering, and experiencing sharp stabs of pain in the right side of his head and neck, resulting in temporary bouts of confusion.
