Awaiting arraignment on murder charge

After fighting extradition from Canada to Lucas County for three years, Kyle Sheppard was arraigned in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Wednesday on alternate counts of murder for the 2012 death of his wife, Katie Sheppard, 29, at their Rivard Road home. Judge Linda Jennings ordered Mr. Sheppard to be held in the Lucas County jail on a $3 million bond pending a Dec. 13 trial. She also ordered him to surrender his passport.
