Area’s spelling whiz competes in national bee

WASHINGTON — Oak Harbor teen Katelyn Farmer, 14, is demonstrating her a-p-t-i-t-u-d-e for language today in the preliminary round of the 2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee, where she is representing northwest Ohio in the national contest.
