Area jobless rate still declining

Jobless rates dropped across nearly all of northwest Ohio in September and from a year earlier, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Erie County had the highest local rate (5.9 percent) and was the only county where the rate rose. The lowest area rate was in Putnam County (3.2 percent).
