A degree and a ring for Lourdes graduate

Eloydia Garza of Sylvania, right, accepts the marriage proposal of Dakota Ladd of Petersburg, Mich., shortly after their graduation from Lourdes University. Ms. Garza earned a bachelor’s degree in English, and Mr. Ladd earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing during the university’s 59th commencement ceremony Saturday at the SeaGate Convention Centre. Clyde Scoles, executive director of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, delivered the address.
