2 area banks closing next month

Two Toledo-area FirstMerit Bank locations will close for good Feb. 17, as Columbus-based Huntington Bank finishes its process of integrating FirstMerit into its corporation. The FirstMerit at 411 Adams St., above, and at 7530 Kings Pointe Rd. in Sylvania Township will close the same day. A sign on the door of the downtown location notifies customers.
