Bye Bye Mattress means hello recycling job

STOCKTON - Anyone who has bought a new mattress in California during the past two years has seen it when they go to pay: a $10.50 recycling fee. Ever wonder where that money goes? In Stockton, it's already put nearly two dozen people to work disassembling used mattresses to reclaim steel springs, foam padding, cotton fiber, wood framing and other recyclable materials.
