Washington Republican reps back Dreamers, but will it matter?
With backing from 34 Republicans, a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives support passing legislation that would revive the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) program.Doing so would allow nearly 800,000 young immigrants -- so-called Dreamers brought to America as little children -- to live and work and learn . . . in the only country they have ever known.
