There Is Now a Homeless Student for Nearly Every Washington Classroom

Among K-12 students in Washington State, one in 25 is currently experiencing homelessness. That works out to "nearly one in every classroom," the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) said in a statement today.In total, 40,934 Washington students were homeless during the 2016-2017 school year, according to data released by OSPI.
