The Eyman link: Campaign for $930 million levy goes negative

The “Let’s Move Seattle” campaign has used promises of crosswalks and safe routes to school in glossy literature promoting its record $930 million property tax levy on the November ballot as Prop. 1, a doubling-plus of the then-record $365 million “Bridging the Gap” levy it would be replacing. As election day approaches, however, the campaign has taken off the gloves, with a nasty mailing that ties opposition to Prop. 1 to professional initiative promoter Tim Eyman.
